American Airlines to Bring High-Speed Wi-Fi to Regional Aircraft by 2024

American Airlines is set to enhance the passenger experience on its dual-class regional aircraft by introducing high-speed Wi-Fi. The airline plans to collaborate with Intelsat to install this service on approximately 500 regional planes, beginning in 2024.
While American already offers high-speed Wi-Fi on over 900 mainline aircraft, this move signifies an extension of connectivity to regional planes like the Embraer E-175, Bombardier CR7, and CR9s. The initiative aims to have more than 1,400 of American Airlines’ aircraft equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, ensuring a consistent and connected experience for passengers.
