TSA PreCheck Expands: Four New Airlines Join Program
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has announced the expansion of its TSA PreCheck program with the addition of Norse Atlantic Airways, Lynx Air, Starlux Airlines, and Fiji Airways. This brings the total number of participating domestic and international carriers to 94. TSA PreCheck offers expedited screening, allowing low-risk travelers to experience efficient security checks at over 200 U.S. airports.
passengers with TSA PreCheck enjoy benefits such as keeping shoes, belts, and light jackets on during screening, along with exemptions from removing laptops and certain items from carry-on bags. With about 99 percent of TSA PreCheck passengers waiting less than 10 minutes in dedicated lanes, the program significantly reduces security wait times.
Eligible travelers, including U.S. citizens, nationals, and lawful permanent residents, can enroll in TSA PreCheck by visiting tsa.gov/precheck, completing a brief online application, and scheduling a quick in-person appointment. Approved participants receive a Known Traveler Number, granting access to special security lanes when flying with participating airlines. Additionally, teenagers aged 13-17 can now accompany enrolled parents or guardians through TSA PreCheck screening on the same reservation, further enhancing the program’s accessibility for families. Children 12 and under may join an enrolled parent or guardian in TSA PreCheck lanes without any restrictions.
