Delta Expands Asia Reach: Seattle to Taipei Nonstop

Delta Air Lines has announced plans to bolster its Asia network next summer by introducing daily nonstop service from Seattle to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, set to commence on June 6, 2024, pending government approval. This initiative marks Delta’s inaugural nonstop flight to Taipei from the United States and signifies its return to Taiwan Airport since 2017 via Narita International Airport in Japan.
The year-round service to Taipei will be operated on an Airbus A330-900neo, featuring Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin experiences. Joan Wang, Delta Managing Director, highlighted the significance of this route, stating that it not only provides access to Taipei’s cultural treasures but also enhances Seattle’s global connectivity.

Delta’s commitment to delivering exceptional service is emphasized through its premium offerings, including lie-flat seats and curated meals for Delta One customers, and spacious seating with additional amenities for passengers in Delta Premium Select. The expansion aligns with Delta’s broader investment in the Pacific region, further enhanced by its joint venture with Korean Air, providing access to 80 destinations in Asia through Incheon International Airport in South Korea.
In addition to the Asia expansion, Delta recently announced its distinction as the first major U.S. airline to fly to Mexico’s new airport in Tulum, with daily, year-round flights from Atlanta starting on March 28, 2024.
