Frozen Paradise: La Isla Cancun Plaza Unveils Snow Theme Park Adventure
Breaking the Mold: While Cancun and the Riviera Maya are typically known for sun-soaked beaches, a new and frosty adventure awaits visitors with the opening of La Isla Cancun Plaza’s unique snow-themed park. Scheduled to debut on December 15, the park promises an immersive winter wonderland experience in the heart of Mexico‘s tropical paradise.
The park’s organizers boast of real, non-melting snow and a constant temperature of approximately 11 degrees below zero, a stark contrast to the warm climate outside. In a statement, La Isla Cancun Plaza invites guests to ‘immerse yourself in a world of winter magic,’ promising to create memories where every laugh is likened to a snowflake that defies the tropical heat.
To ensure visitors can relish the frosty escapade, the park will maintain sub-zero temperatures throughout its operation. Attendees are encouraged to bundle up in warm attire, as the icy environment is designed to preserve the snow.
Operating hours are set from 1 to 9 p.m. local time on weekdays and noon to 9 p.m. on weekends, offering flexibility for visitors to experience the wintry enchantment. With an affordable entrance fee of around 200 pesos (less than $12), the park aims to make this unique winter experience accessible to a broad audience.
From donning parkas and snow boots to transitioning to bathing suits and barefoot, La Isla Cancun Plaza promises a swift journey from a snowy landscape to the sun-kissed beaches—a surreal juxtaposition that adds an extra layer of intrigue to this one-of-a-kind attraction in the heart of Cancun’s hotel zone.
