Thanksgiving Travel: Weather Impact on Millions in the U.S.

With 55.4 million Americans projected to travel over 50 miles for Thanksgiving, attention turns to weather forecasts. The weekend before Thanksgiving appears favorable, with rain and snow in some regions. Early next week, a storm is expected to impact major travel hubs in the central and eastern U.S., potentially causing disruptions.
Flight delays and cancellations are possible, especially if fall storms intensify. However, conditions seem clear for Black Friday and the post-Thanksgiving weekend, with sporadic rain or snow in the Great Lakes and Northeast. AAA Travel estimates 49.1 million will drive, 4.7 million will fly, and 1.55 million will use other means for Thanksgiving travel.
