Universal Kids Resort: Comcast’s Family-Focused Theme Park in Texas
Universal Destinations & Experiences, a division of Comcast NBCUniversal, introduces Universal Kids Resort, its inaugural theme park tailored for families with young children. Nestled in Frisco, Texas, the resort is set to deliver Universal’s distinctive storytelling style to a younger audience, featuring family-friendly attractions, interactive shows, unique merchandise, delightful food venues, and character meet-and-greets. Adding to the experience, the resort will include a 300-room themed hotel.
Designed to ignite children’s creativity through imagination, discovery, and play, Universal Kids Resort aims to immerse families physically in their favorite stories and characters, as stated by Molly Murphy, Universal Creative President. The theme park will be situated in a lush, child-friendly landscape, offering a unique environment tailored for younger children.
Beyond providing entertainment, the project is anticipated to contribute significantly to the local economy, generating thousands of jobs, including over 2,500 construction positions.
In a related announcement, Universal Studios Hollywood reveals the return of its annual New Year’s Eve celebration, EVE 2024. The event will feature multiple dance locations, a captivating fireworks display, and extended access to select rides and attractions until 2 a.m. local time on December 31.
