Panama to Host 2024 Adventure Travel World Summit
The Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) has unveiled Panama as the upcoming host destination for the annual Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS), scheduled for October 7-10, 2024.
In a significant milestone, Panama will mark the first Central American location to host the prestigious ATWS, aligning with the country’s dedication to sustainable adventure travel and its efforts to forge partnerships with local communities.
The collaboration between ATTA and Panama has grown steadily over the years, with a shared commitment to the sustainable development of the adventure travel industry. Gabi Stowell, Vice President of ATTA, emphasized their work in Panama since 2017, which aimed to promote community-based travel and shed light on Panama’s remarkable diversity, culture, biodiversity, and countless adventure opportunities.
The annual four-day ATWS event assembles approximately 800 professionals from the adventure travel sector, offering collaborative learning workshops, one-on-one networking opportunities, inspirational speakers, and an exhilarating Day of Adventure.
Denise Guillen Zuniga, from the Panama Tourism Ministry, extended a warm invitation, especially to friends from Asia, as the host country for ATWS 2024. Panama boasts hidden treasures waiting to be explored and enjoyed, offering a curated experience for intrepid travelers from over 60 countries worldwide.
ATTA has shared that details regarding adventures, agendas, keynote speakers, and official media delegates will be disclosed at a later date.
